Fragrance of dark Coffee.
This is just a little bit about a few of my interests.
If you can’t tell by the title of this entry, I love coffee! I can’t get enough of this delicious elixir of life. There are so many blends, brews, body types, and degrees of smoothness and richness that no two pots of coffee are quite the same. As it was once stated: “Blacker than a moonless night, hotter and more bitter than hell itself, that is coffee.” This, to me, is a great cup of coffee.
Reading books has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. Curling up by a warm fire while trying to figure out the killer’s motive is a feeling unlike any other. My current favorite books are The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher and Three by Ted Dekker.
Lately I’ve had a strange fascination with the supernatural: vampires, folklore, “magic”, and spirits…well, you get the picture. Most of what I do is try to find the root of popular legends and see how much the legend has been blown out of proportion from their factual predecessor. It is surprising sometimes how extremely different the two versions can be.
I am also enthralled by the science used at a crime scene. The techniques and equipment that are used during an investigation are quite fascinating, in my opinion. It amazes me that you are able to tell exactly which gun fired the killing bullet just by looking at said bullet and comparing it to the insides of different guns.
Of all the things that interest me though, I love music most. I was instilled with an interest in this wonderful medium of entertainment from a very young age. In fact, my father played a wide variety of music for me while I was yet unborn. The biggest reason I love music as much as I do is because it is something that everyone can get into. It even brings people together in some cases, as they say: it is a universal language. There have been times that I have been at a concert and people that I have seemingly no connection with may start chatting with me about how amazing, terrible, or otherwise the act is. That often evolves into other such bands and it snowballs from there.
That was just a small taste of the entrée that is my interests. There are far too many things that intrigue me to fit into one chapter. If you like any of what you read I implore you to check out some of these things for yourself.
