Why I think Marijuana should NOT be Legalized
i never could understand why people would want a drug to be legal, some might defend that it is just like alcohol...difference is alcohol most often is fine dinning and people drink it for the enjoyment of thier tastebuds it's a choice to get drunk, and some take it, and some don't...marijuana on the other hand is smoken for the sole purpose of getting high...and do we really need people incapable of making resonable decisons ?!
the reason i'm writing this is because it hits close to home...my brothers does it...and he's a dead beat loser, with a sweet and adorable son...who unfortunatly is affected by the irresponsible behavior of both his mom and his dad...my point being, it doesn't just affect thier body, but it affects others around them, my parents who are generous enough to let my loser brother stay in thier house, can't get a moments peace with cops and drug dealers looking for my brother, while he is still convinced that he is hurting no one and that his brain cells grown back.

but did you also know that almost a fourth of the people that do marijuana only do it because its a pain reliever? -

There are rules in my house, and if not followed, you will no longer stay in my house. You might say "well you just can't kick your own flesh and blood out of your house" my answer.. I'm not, you are kicking yourself out of my house.
Do alittle research, and you'll find alcohol kills more people than pot does by far. Two drinks at dinner for enjoyment, and driving home is not a reasonable dicision, is it? -

In refrence to his son, I am certain (And I am assuming) that he was living at home when he got the woman pregnant, and even if not it allowed him to get his foot through the door...
Our country is based on personal responsibility....
You are allowed to fail...
Failure is a great motivator to get your shit together and do the right thing...
I pretty much agree with the others too, if there is that much action going on he is doing more than poking smot.... -

It also sounds like there's much more than smoking weed going on with your brother with cops and drug dealers looking for him so much. It is much more reasonable to assume smoking pot is the least of his problems rather than the root of them.
I can also tell by your first paragraph you really don't know anything about marijuana. That is an observation, not an insult. So please don't be offended, as that is not at all my intent. Truth is, people die every day because of alcohol. Nobody has ever overdosed on marijuana, not one. It is safer than aspirin or tylenol. Anyone at all knowledgeable would never defend marijuana as being "just like alcohol," Alcohol is infinitely much worse.
If you dig deeper, you'll find marijuana is an insignificant piece of your brother's woes. It would be wise to consider that there is an issue of a much more serious drug abuse problem ie: heroin, speed, cocaine.... or it could be he's just a lazy a** slacker. The fact cops are looking for him, I highly doubt that is the case. -

sorry your brother is a burn-out slacker, but not all marijuana smokers are losers. sounds like your parents are enablers, too. don't blame the drug for the inactions of an irresponsible person as there are many adults who do know how to enjoy themselves and still live happy and successful lives.
