I watched a secular/atheist discuss this on the History channel. The facts above are true, and it is all very interesting. As evangelicals, we have long known most of these. Most secular churches do not teach to this level. -
raves posted Aug 08, 2008 08:23PM GMT (edited)First of Iraq did not exist back then. Yeah I knpw it is bibliocal prophescy mumbo jumbo. 2 There was never a garden of Eden and no one has a clue where the mythical place was. 3 the Story of Noah and the Ark is a stolen story from the Epic of Gilgamesh of which we have the story (yes we have the tablets in cuniform it was written down on) written 1000 years before the Hebrews were a tribe. Ther is no clue that there was a Jesus born or that Wise Men came let alone where they came from other that a blanket statement saying from the East. Hell maybe they came from Japan. These are all no more than cultural myths many stolen (like Noah) from Older and well documented cultures. Hell even the idea of Montheism was stolen from the Egyptians

What's great is you can't even get your illusions to match up accurately with what has been written. Send me more of your folly. You make my day. Bang! Your dead.
-
raves +2 Aug 08, 2008 08:26PM GMTand what does this have to do with McCain?
-
raves +1 Aug 08, 2008 08:28PM GMTI was wondering that myself! And what gives this person the right to tell me to delete my post?

He was asking you to delete it but he was rtrying and failing to redicule you -
raves +2 posted Aug 08, 2008 05:33PM GMTVery interesting! Thanks, Angie! Another interesting historical and geological factoid, there is historical reference to a "great flood," written on two tablets in the British Museum, referring to the Flood, written in the Babylonian city of Sippar in the reign of King Ammisaduqa, 1646-1626 BC. Geological evidence of a great flood has also been discovered in Mesopotamia, an alluvial deposit 8 feet thick, dated to the time of Noah, 4,000 to 3,500 BC!

raves +3 posted Aug 08, 2008 06:59AM GMTI see everyone on here saying that the 9:11 verse is untrue. Is the real one any better?
Let's try verse 9:111 - "Allah has purchased from the faithful their lives and worldly goods, and in return has promised them the Garden. They will fight for the cause of Allah, they will slay, and be slain." Oops, I have never known any evangelist who went out slaying or killing those to whom they were evangelizing. I believe that this proves beyond any doubt that the war Muhammad keeps talking about in the Koran has to do with actual warfare and killing. So keep in mind that these Muslim leaders were lying to you, the Muslims in the Middle East including Osama Bin Ladden are not lying to you, and that the US Muslims who have said Islam is a religion of peace have no credibility. -
raves +3 posted Aug 08, 2008 04:45AM GMTMost of this is accurate, with one glaring fake, and that is the Koran verse:
Re: Koran 9:11 !!
VERY INTERESTING - DID YOU KNOW ABOUT THIS HOAX?
'This is something to think about! Since America is typically represented by an eagle. Saddam should have read up on his Muslim passages...
The following verse is from the Koran, (the Islamic Bible)
Koran (9:11) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace.'
**Summary of the eRumor
A verse in the Koran, which happens to correspond to the date of the Attack on America, predicts that "the wrath of the Eagle" would be felt throughout the lands of Allah.
**The Truth
This is a hoax.
The quote is not from anywhere in the Koran (or Quran).
Chapter 9 verse 11 actually says "But if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, they are your brethren in faith; and we make the communications clear for a people who know." (M. H. Shakir translation)
***************
Now it's strange that anyone would want us to think that it was prophesied that George Bush would 'cleanse the lands of Allah'! When wanton bloodshed becomes 'cleansing' it is beginning to sound a lot like Hitler talking.... HMMM... food for thought? -
raves +1 Aug 08, 2008 07:02AM GMTHere is the actual text of 9:111

raves +1 posted Aug 08, 2008 02:51AM GMTSome of the stuff here is certainly true, but the Nostrodamus stuff is just a hoax. http://www.snopes.com/politic...
Nothing is more dangerous than a lie skillfully wielded. I'm just hoping you were passing on what you believed to be the truth.
But please check your sites next time. We don't need to give people anymore baseless reasons to believe all the rationalizations for invading Iraq. -
raves +1 Aug 08, 2008 04:12AM GMTNickName, Snopes is not the end all of knowledge.
-
raves +1 Aug 08, 2008 04:25AM GMTAre you really trying to claim that 9:11 in the Quran says some junk about an eagle's wrath. Really? We can go that route if you want. But before we do, I want to make absolutely sure that is, in fact, the contention you are making. Do you really believe that?

raves +5 posted Aug 08, 2008 01:28AM GMT (edited)'rattle of swords'....... the koran quote is disproven on snoops if you'd take a peek.... a lie is still a lie if when you dont check out the source..
Revelation 13 10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
Mesopitamia is considered the 'cradel of civilization' I believe, because the most advanced research is done by christian archeologists (to date) and those same archeologists refuse to further investigate many of the south american artifacts that blatantly stare them in the face such as the heads of the olmecs whic depict african american, chinese and what appears to be bearded caucasion carvings in stone... where would those crazy facial hair missin indians get such wild ideas? Iv got a pretty good guess but 'atlantis' is denied and the left over temples on the western edge ignored even though we dont have equipment big enough to lift what they managed to move around nowdays.. but anyways.. believe what you like and dont check out some really fascinating history if you preffer the 'story' above..
