Illegal immigrants and rights?
Well... because us residents we pay pimp Uncle Sam.
But how about illegal are "they America" like me and you.
Should they be able to comment in broad day light with no State non-driver's license and no stamped passport or records indicating they are allowed be marching on this side of the border.
It is mixed for me. On one end the anti-labor pro-corporatist enjoy having English illiterates who have no legal rights to form a pesky union or demand more pay.
It's mixed one end the Nativist Lou Dobbs - O Reilly's in me says "You need to follow the US policy, or find the highway headed south... towards the nearest US border. And make yourself friendly with the Security on the way out.
Than the flipflop wearing watter bottle carrying touchy-feely bleeding Obama rally fanatic "believes that people can bot be illegal- And that this is a nation of immigrants with big hearts and imagination and beautiful vision on empowering their families. And even the flipflop wearing Frap-drinker in me is a little mixed on Amnesty.
So guess O Reilly wins this round.
For instance On other issues: as gay marriage, gun law restriction, women uterus is her domain and climate change is really serious concern all progressive.
I even sympathize with paranoid 911-truth street protesters. But on this issue IO sound like a grumpy old Archie-Bunker ish Republican.
I do not think illegal immigrants get to stop midday traffic to demonstrate in protest against the unjust circumstance they face while they illegally reside here without consent of the US government.
I think being a neurotic, hyper-critical cosmopolitan is a right reserved for people who can rent movies at Hollywood Video and walk into the Gap and apply for a merchant card and get denied using on their own name.
Illegal immigrants should have a right to be treated with dignity and respect from the law enforcement and their fellow neighbors who are
legally residing here. But civil removal and detainment should be on the table as well.

raves +1 posted Jul 25, 2008 10:24PM GMTAll immigrants should have to follow thw same laws and procedures to enter the US and if you are here illegally you should not have the same rights as legal immigrants or other citizens such as free medical care, wellfare or other state assistance programs. I wonder if we are obligated to school those who are here illegally? All immigrants have never questioned having to learn english to succeed in the US except for the spanish speaking ones and the government has made mnay things bi-lingual to cater to this group. Obama even ahs the nerve to say we should teach outr children Spanish. There is much more of a need for Americans who can speak Chinnese, Japanese, Russian , Indian and some Arab languages than to speak Spanish in the world we live in today.
Support the little guy and realize that unfettered capitalism leads to the type of economy we have right now. The rich get richer, the poor get poorer and the middle class disappears. We have been subsidizing corporations for too long now.
