The Greatest Cause of Grief...
(This appears to have been written more cryptically than I realized. This poem was written in the middle of the night (last night) while I was still fresh in grief as to the response I received to my comments on a poll where I chose to cast my vote.
This is a lament that grieves over souls who do not choose Jesus as their personal Savior, not my own soul. I know that I must respect others and their right to choose for or against Jesus and His gracious offer, but I cannot deny that as a believer in a literal, eternal, burning, gruesome Hell, I grieve when I see a soul choose that option, even if he or she doesn't grieve for themselves.)
The greatest cause of grief I know,
is grief that needn't be,
The grief of losing one's own soul,
for all Eternity!
How can we plumb the depths of hearts,
alone and full of pain,
Who think forever of their part,
for mocking "born again!"
The greatest cause of grief I know,
rejects rebuke amiss,
We all know problems that do grow,
but pain that heals we kiss!
To see such fields so ready ripe,
eschewing reaper's scythe,
Their loathsome hearts do daily gripe,
while crimson flows right by them.
We plead the case of piteous souls,
who scream from Pit of Hell,
With same souls who now daily scold,
the ones who wish them well.
O, Man, your heart rebukes your mind,
for making dark seem light,
"Have you no pity to be kind?
He died to give you sight!"

If by our obedience we find favor with you Lord, then we know that you are faithful to provide the spark of faith to nourish the seed that finds it's fertile ground.
As we water one another with encouragement and support, Father we see your faithfulness in action. We grown in your grace daily. We became united in Your cause, pursuing your will and using our gifts to bring glory to Your Name.
Our Lord Jesus said...
Joh 14:27
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
While trouble looks for us day and night, we do not fear it. We lean on your promise of peace and we find it. I praise you for Your Timeless Truth!

But I have faith that some might hear that inner voice calling them back from the very gates of Hell. To have someone come up to you and say "Thank you, brother/sister for helping me see the path to eternity! Christ would have endured the cross if only one person in all of mankind had accepted Him. I do believe some have heard this here on SH. Win, you are a true warrior for Christ. Remember, the glass is half full and God holds the pitcher!

Dear Father, I come against strongholds that keep the dying from choosing life. I pray Dear Father that these strongholds be broken in the name of Jesus Amen -

A deep heart born concern for the lost souls of our family and friends or even coworkers, it seems the body of CHRIST has forgotten how weep. For our LORD has said, whatsoever you sow in tears you shall reap in rejoicing.
Bravo, WinBro777JOT we need to weep for the lost souls that the LORD brings across our path. -

But once I am there and hear His voice, not even that grief will be known to me, for ALL JOY will belong to me then!
