Went to a fight and a baseball game broke out!

Normally I would say that baseball is about as exciting as watching flies fuck, but tonight I got a little something special. I took Autumn to a Dragons game. The Dayton Dragons are an A ball team that are affiliated with the Cincinnati Reds.

We have lawn seats which for kids is about the best seats in the house. You can let them run and play around when they get bored. We are watching the Peoria Chiefs warm up. Their pitcher is right next to us. He can throw one hell of a fast ball but he has little to no control. While watching him he launches one at 90+ mph right into the safety fence right in front of me. Keep in mind this fence it to keep me and my kid off the field only. It's about 3 feet tall. That scared the shit out of me but that was the last one he threw at me.

The game starts and the Chiefs are up. The Dragons quickly shut them down with no hits. While the Dragons are up this same guy is pitching. We get a couple of base hits and someone bats two in. The next two batters get beaned. Followed by a base hit. The next at bat takes a 94 mph fast-ball to the temple. Knocking his ass out. The next batter hits a grounder between the pitcher and the first baseman. Those two collide and the first baseman breaks the hell out of his leg. Both bones protruding. The next batter hits a double and while sliding into second he does something that was considered interference. I'm not sure what it was.

So now we have the team managers arguing it out by the Dragons dugout. Things start to escalate and the pitcher for the chiefs gets pissed and throws a ball into the dugout. He misses. The ball is up in the stands and it knocks a kid out. Now all hell breaks loose. Both teams are brawling and the Dragons are beating the hell out of this pitcher. Stomping, punching, hitting him with a bat. They break is arm and face in the scuffle. Some fans rush the field and after a few minutes they manage to clear both teams and the fans off the field.

Now we wait. For about an hour. 15 players suspended. Now we don't have enough players to finish the game without putting pitchers in field positions. So they revoke all suspensions temporarily to allow the game to finish. So after 3 hours. The first inning is over.
