wild bunnies really do eat pancakes
So this friend from college told me that he used to toss leftover pancakes outside to feed the rabbits. I've been doing this too. I would laugh thinking that wild rabbits would eat the pancakes. Today I watched a rabbit eat part of the pancake that I tossed out in the yard. It's funny. These days people bitch and moan about food prices, gas prices, and the cost of living. And here is this mischievious 34 year old ripping up pancakes and tossing them out in the yard in the hopes that the wild rabbits will eat them. I don't want to waste food so I gave the rabbits something to eat. I wish I had my camera.

How cute! If you are able to get a picture, p-l-e-a-s-e post it. One of my cats like pancakes....only to play with! My son has to give him one little piece of pancake so he can stalk it, pounce on it, and swat it across the floor! -

You would love this knife store we go to. The owners live in back and have a big yard, situated right off a busy street. The yard is filled with all kinds of bunnies. There must be 50 or so. They all are so cute and run around free. I asked if they ever run into the street and they said they never do. I love when my husband has to get a new knife, he makes sure I go with him because he knows I love it there. -
raves +2 Jul 29, 2008 03:38PM GMTmy two pet rabbits love it when I sharpen my knifes. they live in my kitchen. I get my steel out and my diamond cutter and sharpen the knifes. I swear they would get out their Bic lighters like it was a concert. I love the sound it makes when I sharpen the knives. I love going to knife stores. It's like a candy store for me.

raves +1 Jul 29, 2008 09:05PM GMTNow that's cool! I'm a serious knife person too. I LOVE a good knife and have to take them with me when I cook away from home.. can't use other people's bad, dull knives)! And NO one touches my knives!
Back in the 80's when I was in culinary school I came home late one night from work and noticed my roommates were acting weird. When I found out they had smoked all my pot I wasn't too bothered but when I found my best knife (vintage 10" Henckels ) broken I didn't know whether to cry or take the broken end and kill someone. One of the roomies had been chipping away at ice in the old freezer and the knife got stuck... so she pulled down on it and snapped it... not an easy thing to do with a good knife but I guess it was nearly frozen. =( So now my family and friends know that it's hands off my best knives... I have other good ones they can use! I still remember that how much I loved that knife... lol -

We were taking pics of gators on a bayou the other day and couldn't figure out what was all over the bank ... big, white, puffy. Then I spotted a empty marshmallow bag! Seems gators are a bit picky though... they did come up and eat a few but they weren't too enthused about it! =) So I tossed them leftover chicken from lunch and granola bars... those they liked! [I did check for "Don't Feed Gators" signs first!] =) -
