About Me
About me? hmmm... ya know these things are so much fun! :[ Born in New Orleans, central Texas roots, spent 8-9 yrs overseas as a teenager/young adult. I think exposure to cultures as wide ranging as the Ashantii in Ghana to the far northern Gaelic Scots in Scotland helped widen my vision to include all people in one world. A soul deep belief that we are not our color or our culture but are defined by our actions and our heart.

Ok Enough of that stuff! :) I'm a grandmother of 2 boys (6 &3) to whom I am currently full-time MOM. I feel too old to be a mother and miss the freedom to travel and do stupid things but wouldn't have it any other way. Some day soon their mom will be a full-time mom again and I'll start planning those trips to Florence, Venice and Wales! Right after I win the lottery!

I'd like to meet:

Too late to meet them now but... Thomas Becket, Saint Bede, Oengus I, Attila the Hun, Henry VIII, and maybe Cleopatra

Interests:

Jewelry making & design (organic styles w/ copper, gemstones, glass & sterling); reading (fantasy, high fantasy [no sci-fi], pre-16th century history and historical fiction); gardening but don't get me started on about my plants or I won't shutup!

Let's see what else... amateur photography, travel (wishful thinking at this point!) and learning new things, currently (hands-on) learning more about metal and wire work.
