About Me: One of the most recognizable names in hip-hop, Ali Vegas began his career in the late nineties as a fresh faced teenager from Jamaica, Queens. Often compared to the greats in the game, Ali Vegas was instantly recognized for his masterful flow. Five years removed from his first deal with the Track Masters, (where he was once a label-mate with the then unknown 50 Cent) Ali Vegas has been a steady fixture in mixtapes, heralded as one of Hip-Hop's most underrated emcees.
At only twenty two years old, the self proclaimed "Prince of New York" is a veteran of the industry with his share of setbacks; from being released by Columbia in 2000 to a now defunct deal with Tommy Matolla's Casablanca Records in 2005 to a much publicized beef with DJ Clue and Fabolous (in the form of the classic diss track, "The Apology"), none of which has hindered his passion for music.
In 2006, Ali Vegas decided to take matters into his own hands through Lamar Odom's label, Rich Soil Entertainment. The first solo act leading Rich Soil, Ali Vegas looks ready to bring hip-hop back to its lyrical days not seen since a young Nas, Biggie and Jay-Z graced the mic.
Outspoken, self-empowered and intelligent, Ali Vegas is one of hip-hop's most gifted emcees with enough content and lyrical dexterity to secure his position as the Prince of New York.
