War is when the "government" tells you who the enemy is. Revolution is when you figure that out for yourself.

About Me

After this last non stand against the TSA, and considering the religious persecution going on in Texas, I begin to have the same, grave reservations about your state "leaders" as I do for my own... indeed all state "leaders".
As for the populace in general, I have been fighting, fluctuating between compassion and utter contempt. At one point, seriously considered throwing my lot in with the "new gods", as the majority of so called "Americans" seem to hate the Constitution, hate what this "country" was founded on and for, and hold my Oath (made before my God) to be nothing more than words... the same "words" uttered by their "gods" that they "vote" to rule over them.

There are likely many areas of agreement 'tween we two. But here we are divergent;
I now worry about my soul.
If I vote, again, for evil (lessor or no), does that not mean I support evil?
If I support evil, who's side am I really on?

Thank you, Marie.

"... God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty.... And what country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure."
Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334 (C.J. Boyd, Ed., 1950)

" A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks."
Thomas Jefferson to Peter Carr, 1785. The Writings of Thomas Jefferson, (Memorial Edition) Lipscomb and Bergh, editors.

John Adams warned:
"Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy that did not commit suicide."

To those who wonder why I stress the Constitution and Liberty so much, I don't think anyone could respond any better than Samuel Adams:
The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil Constitution, are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men.

This is where we preen like a prize turkey. OK, I am the greatest thing since sliced cheese... Limburger cheese.

Straight up, I'm writing in Ron Paul. I have worked for and against both party's over the years, now I find no common ground with either. Both have reneged their oaths, both have burned the Constitution, both have failed my Country.
I do want change, and I will vote accordingly.

Favorite Quotes

When I first joined SH I stated something to the effect that it may take the destruction of my Country to save my Country. The more understanding I garner about my "fellow Americans", the more true that statement becomes.
My talking, arguing and pleading with anyone who would give me the time of day has done absolutely squat.
Now I watch and wait. I will merely look my "fellow Americans" in the eye... the first one who starts to whine about how hard life is as a slave, how unfair life is, gets cold cocked.

If you love wealth greater that liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace.
We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains set lightly upon you; and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen. - Samuel Adams
"It is the first responsibility of every citizen to question authority." Benjamin Franklin
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Then give up. No sense in making a damn fool of yourself. Samuel Clemens

If more government is the answer... it has to be a very stupid question!

Anymore, when I see the brand names "Republican" or"Democrat", I make note. Those who wear those brand names, do not get my vote. RSC
