I am a 37 year old working parent of a teenage son.

I like a variety of music! Some of my favorites are old school hip hop, R & B and rock.
Favorites are R. Kelly, Jaheim, Mary J. Blige, Lenny Kravitz, Guns n Roses, Metallica, Eagles, Run DMC, Mobb Deep and a few others.

Friday Night SmackDown, Monday Night Raw, Smallville, Supernatural. These are the shows that I absolutely must see each week.

My all time favorite movie is Grease 2. But some of my favorites that I can watch thousands of times are The Ten Commandments, Matrix (all three).

My favorite books are The Color Purple, The Coldest Winter Ever and anything by Stephen King.

I guess depending on the type of person you are, you will feel differently. As a black woman, I can't speak for all the sisters but I would like to comment on a few things. The sisters are a little hard on the brothers. Most women are looking for men that can bring something to the table. A lot of sisters don't have respect for our black brothers and that alone is a major issue for me. See, I have been with my strong black man for 10 years and I respect him to the fullest. I don't always agree with him but I respect his feelings and I respect the fact that he is the man of my house. A lot of this has to do with how we are raised. I grew up in a household with both my parents so I learned from them what a man is and what to expect. I think the video is a little hard on the sisters even though I found a lot of the things he said to be truthful and I can say that because I am a black woman. I'm not mad at black men for seeking white woman. They have obviously had some negative reactions to some of the sisters. I think black women and men have issues that need to be worked out in order to come together. This is why I support my man. If he is out of work for a little time, I will carry us and the same goes for him. In my relationship, it isn't about money or what he can do but what we can do for each other. There are plenty of good black men out there as well as sisters. You just have to find the right one! (more)

    I heard on the news last night that he is now in the Bronx. Trump's representatives issued a statement that his company do business with a lot of people all over the country and they could have given him permission to use the land in the Bronx. They are supposedly looking into it.     (more)

I don't mean book education but in general, educate yourself on what's going on around you. Don't just take what you are told at face value and run with it. Research your sources. Many problems can be avoided if so many people weren't so passive and felt that it wasn't their responsibility. As Americans, we are responsible for each other. (more)
