My Grandmother treated my ailments until I was 18 and treated her own also. She had many old time ways about here and was 99 when she died in 1981. What was in those remedies she had I don't know but I do know they worked. She lived until she was 99 so what does that tell you? I'm 63 and the problems I've had I can blame likely on the preservatives and crap they put in the food we eat now. She wouldn't open a can for anything or a box. Everything she cooked was fresh either from our garden and her canning or from the grocery store veg. department. (more)

I was an Electrical Contractor a lot of the time and worked a number of different jobs for people. I began Contracting in 1973 and probably my longest job was for 2 years. I loved each and every one of them. I loved my work. (more)

    We do not have slaves, as did Rome, our Senators are elected and not appointed by the President, as did Cesar, and the people are supposed to have a say in something. Presidents can be impeached unlike Cesar. There are very distinct similarities between the U. S. and Rome but I think these similarities are not because of Immigrants. This is a very bad problem of it’s own but they are not our slaves. They do provide cheap labor and they do provide expensive crime in our society. They can and will destroy our economy, but we have now lost our edge in the world because the technology and complexity of manufacturing different products have been sold in the world market so that certain large chain retailers can offer these products at a much cheaper price and become multi billion dollar companies nearly overnight. Between them and those who control the one thing the world must have at the present time, oil, they now control the world economy.
    Just my take on the system today. Could be wrong???     (more)

    +13 raves I couldn't get away that long from my Mother. As strange as this statement may sound, here is... I couldn't get away that long from my Mother. As strange as this statement may sound, here is the explanation. She is moving in with me because she is totally dependant on someone else to help her. She is 89 and now that I've spent much more time with her than I previously had, I've found she is frailer than I once thought. Between her health, my wife's health, and my own, there is no way I could leave at this time. (more)
