About Me

Eleven score and eleven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.
Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation, so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle-field of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field, as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that that nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.

  • Why the Gettysburg Address? I love that speach and am a great admirer of Mr. Lincoln but I'm curious to know the significance of it to you.

  • I love your use of the Gettysburg address. It is one of my favorite speeches of all time. He was speaking about the future of the nation at a time when he wasn't really sure that it would survive. I love what he said about their inability to consecrate the ground because that had already been done by those that gave their lives. He swore that they had not died in vain.

    Abe was wrong about us not remembering what he said, but that is a good thing.
