    +5 raves This is so exciting. I have the honor of knowing one of these fine men. He spends time speaking... This is so exciting. I have the honor of knowing one of these fine men. He spends time speaking to students at our local schools, among other things. He's quite active at 84. I cannot begin to imagine what he has gone through in his life. I know that he flew missions over Germany, but he had to come back to HIS country and find other work because he wasn't allowed to work in the airline industry as a pilot.

    I spoke with his daughter yesterday. She forwarded to me the entire article from our local papers. These men will be attending the inauguration free of charge and staying on military bases.

    These men were denied access to the officer's club on base and they were not allowed to participate in victory parades at the end of the war, but they will have on-stage seats for the inauguration of the first Black president of the United States of America.

    They are being treated as the VIPs that they are.     (more)

    +16 raves Who knows what she may have been thinking. The bigger issue is this: This woman is a train wreck.... Who knows what she may have been thinking. The bigger issue is this:

    This woman is a train wreck.

    I'm not trying to be mean; I think she's nice, she's done good things in Alaska, but she is not qualified for this task. I think that a lot of people are blinded by party loyalty or a strong dislike for all things Obama, but it's no excuse to potentially place our country in her care.

    If any one of us -- Republican, Democrat, or Independent -- met someone in a business meeting or social gathering or anywhere for that matter who responded to a question with a jumble of words like this, she would not be our 'go to' person for answers. We'd have the same expression as Katie Couric -- a big question mark. Be honest with yourselves America.

    This is not a matter of taking a clip and cutting it up to make someone look bad. This is one uninterrupted question -- a clear question -- followed by her answer.
