About Me
Born in Brooklyn, NY, lived in both Mass. and Ct. before I got married. Been married for 30 yrs. (this Aug. 1st). We have 1 son and 2 grandchildren who we just adore. Retired Medical Technologist and worked in that business for over 20 yrs. Quit a few years after my son was born and since then have been doing different jobs. At present we both work at Walmart (I'm on Days and my husband is on overnights)
I'd like to meet
I've been lucky enough to meet James Cagney and Anthony Hopkins. Now I'd love to meet Johnny Depp!
Activities
Reading, watching movies, taking care of my in house plants and in summer, the plants all around and on our porch. I love to play games online also. Taking hikes or long walks with my husband, swimming, and picking up old seashells on the beach.
Interests
Mainly movies...they are my passion. I was brought up on all the old 30 and 40's classics. I love many of the musicals from the 50's. We have Netflix so we can watch alot of the present movies also. We go to the movies just every so often now and it has to be a really good movie.
Favorite Music
Beatles, Monkees, Earth, Wind, and Fire, James Taylor, Carly Simon, Celtic music, Big Band music and early Jazz (ex: Paul Whiteman and Bix Beiderbecke), any good early 60's music too!
Favorite TV Shows
Ghosthunters, Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, Being Human, the Spartacus series on Starz, In the Middle show, Once Upon a Time, Suburgatory.
Favorite Movies
Ah...too many to put down but... some are 'Casablanca', 'Gone with the Wind', 'How Green was My Valley', 'Braveheart', Chicago', Yankee Doodle Dandy, 'Sleepy Hollow', 'Hannibal', ' Twilight' series..just to name a few, lol
Favorite Books
Anything by Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Diana Gabaldon, Peter Straub, Heather Graham, Richard Laymon, Wilbur Smith, Susan Wiggs and Edward Rutherford.
Favorite Quotes
'The Irish don't always know when to quit...we learn as we go'..said by Owney Madden (one time owner of 'The Cotton Club'.(another of my favorite movies too )
Favorite Heroes
James Cagney (now there was a really decent fellow, very gentle and sweet), Abe Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, Harry Truman, Katherine Hepburn and George Washington.

No disrespect to the actors of today but a lot of them can't act to save their lives which is very unfortunate that a lot of the great ones were around when the studios were ruining so many people's lives. It's very unfair in a way.

I've always actually felt bad for Lon Chaney Jr I remember reading a while back that the name of his father was pushed on him by the studios in the hope that that would bring in more money.

I've never seen the entire film just a few short clips from the movie but what I saw was very good. One of these days I'll get around to watching it =)
Yes I have seen almost every movie (and tv show) ever made about the Tudors. It's such a fascinating time in English history.
