About Me

Just about anyone that doesn't suck
I'm a hardcore Deadhead -- Plain & simple. I spent over ten years of my life going to and recording shows. Music is my passion. I've played the Drums since I was a wee lad but can also play the Guitar. To pay the bills, I work as an I.T. Professional, which by proclamation makes me a computer geek.
Grateful Dead, Allman Brothers, Widespread Panic, Steely Dan, Greyboy Allstars, Herbie Hancock, Linton Kwesi Johnson, Col. Bruce Hampton and the Aquarium Rescue Unit, Pink Floyd, Shockra, Eddie Harris, Meat Puppets, Django Reinhardt, Frank Zappa, Bela Fleck, Alpha Blondy, Dave Holland Quartet, Cibo Matto, R.E.M., Joni Mitchell, Thelonious Monk, Parliment, Trilok Gurtu, Primus, John Coltrane, Bob Marley, Alison Krauss, Grant Greene, Chickasaw Mudd Puppies, Miles Davis, Burning Spear, and a whole bunch more....
Heroes, Lost, Family Guy, House, Survivor, Monty Python's Flying Circus, History Channel, Discovery, TLC, NatGeo, AMC, MLB Red Sox, NBC Nightly News, SNL
It can be Funny, Sad, Dramatic, Charming, Epic, anything as long as it's well made, well acted, clever or cerebral.

I sincerely hope we'll live to see the day when our government finally sheds it's belligerent veil of ignorance and accepts the fact that the medicinal value of marijuana is essential in helping victims of seriously unpleasant medical conditions. I think it's a disgusting, disgraceful miscarriage of justice when people who are suffering so terribly get thrown in jail when their only crime is trying to comfortably make it through whatever life they have left. Shame on our government! (more) -

Not badly, but enough so that Obama tried to accommodate the mistake by pausing so that Roberts could correct himself.
The oath as it's laid out in the Constitution:
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States. "
Roberts said "that I will execute the office of President of the United States faithfully"
It was an akward moment that took Obama a bit by surprise and he was only trying to maintain continuity. I mean good grief...how friggin' hard is it to memorize 35 words?! (more) -

Right on, been through many times traveling back and forth from Mass to Maine. I was born near Foxboro, grew up close to Boston, and lived in Maine for a bit. Visited the White Mnts a few times. New Hampshires gorgeous. I'm on the West Coast now, Oregon, kinda reminds me of a magnified Maine or NH, and I love it, but I'll always be a New Englander at heart.

So you grew up in Charlottesville, huh. That's a beautiful place. I grew up in Norfolk, but my family was actually from Lynchburg.
