ok, Social Libertarians are pretty cool, I guess. If that means Personal freedom and Corporate accountability, not the other way around.
Free Market Libertarians, not so much. The marketplace must have rules. Otherwise, we will eat each other alive. (Now, that is the so-called law of the jungle.)

The government in the USA is (or was) (or should be) intended to protect the general citizenry from tyranny, monopoly, theocracy, corporatism, generally getting screwed over, etc. We need it. Ours just happens to be broken. FUBAR even.

If by Libertarian you mean revamp it, take it back, as it were, good idea. (And, good luck.) However, if by Libertarian you mean throw it out, get rid of it, do without it or some such, bad, bad idea. Every man for himself (or woman, ja ja), survival of the "fittest", screw the weak, let them fend for themselves... wrong. The ramifications of that are horrific.

Education, unification, innovation, reason... these concepts empower us.
