About Me

In Japan, I would be called a "Parasite Single."

I decided to rewrite the more...intense part of my profile. I will say that I have a massive subscription (not issues, subscription) with my father. Subscription aside, which I am hoping to work on so that I can truly be unfazed by anything he says...I am still a rather...UNIQUE person. I'm very tender-hearted, but let's just say that that heart has enough scars covering it, that it's got a nice, thick shell over it...can't be too careful in this world. I am a patriotic ARMY brat, both of my parents were ARMY, and both were drill sergeants at some point...yay me. I am also a misanthrope, so appealing on a human level probably won't work very often.

I believe that we are the creations, or the sum of, our past and our creators.

We are created as metal, through our experiences we are shaped, molded, beaten, purified or sullied, but in the end, we are still metal, whether we are formed into a blade or a vase...that is the determination of our parents, our peers, and our own quality. Afterall, blades can break and vases can be too heavy to use suitably. Those who form us, must be able to understand and see our pure qualities, without their dirtiness (their preconceptions, their judgments, their IGNORANCE) rubbing off into us.

Now, to pimp myself off on here, if you want anything drawn...I have a DeviantArt account that sort of acts as an online portfolio, I really need to arrange it, so that the not-so-stellar work is not mixed in with my awesomeness.

I try to be a rational person and work with logic, sadly, people dislike logic because, to be quite frank, emotions LOSE to logic. Most arguments lose to logic. Let's just say that one of the clubs I REALLY wanted to be in, in High School, was the Debate Team. Unfortunately, I have yet to learn to keep my correctness to myself; that is probably because I find it a disservice to others...allowing them to continue in their flaws and ignorance, I mean.

I've been homeless, I've couch-surfed, I've starved, I've been raped, I've been beaten, I've been lied to, I've been used, I've been abandoned, but I'm still here. I've been made into a FIGHTER.

I'm still here...and doing my best to keep a cheerful facade...smile and ignore the pain; no one cares anyway. No one wants to hear it, and I certainly don't want to be a burden on people with their own inner problems. Don't air the dirty laundry, don't talk, no one will listen...just sit down...shut up...and be a good little girl...a little "yes-man" doll with no opinion. I'm sorry, I'm not my brother, so I guess I'll continue being the outcast.

Here's a more light-hearted note "About Me," I actually had a crush on Rex Harrison in My Fair Lady. Actually, to be more accurate, I had a crush on Henry Higgins as played by Rex Harrison. I LOVE "Why Can't the English (Learn to Speak)."

More people who can understand me. My brother, and a few friends are the limit, though I play a good part otherwise.

We wear the mask that grins and lies,
It hides our cheeks and shades our eyes,—
This debt we pay to human guile;
With torn and bleeding hearts we smile,
And mouth with myriad subtleties.

Why should the world be over-wise,
In counting all our tears and sighs?
Nay, let them only see us, while
We wear the mask.

Figuring out how to become a real hermit/recluse.

I am a big fan of Chaos. As in the complexity of causality or the relationship between events, and things like Chaos systems, which are systems that look random but aren't. I don't believe in true chance. I believe that everything happens for a reason. I do not limit my perspective to believing that this is because of the choice of "some higher being," rather, I believe that there are patterns in the world that are influenced by even the subtlest difference, the way you sweep your hair left, or right.

Other than Chaos...
Learning. I love learning, if I could afford it, and if it were a reasonable possibility, I would be a perpetual student. One of my goals is to know everything one day...unrealistic, but I like to think of it as a good goal to strive for.

Art. Just about anything related to Art. Love art, love museums, looking at art, finding art in nature...art of any kind, music, poetry, fine art, fashion, whatever.

Anime/Manga/Video Games. Specifically, I tend to like shoujo, comedy, horror, and fantasy anime; josei (young women's), shojou (girl's), psychological, or romantic manga (current titles of interest are Doubt!, Liar Game, RomeoxJuliet, Rosario+Vampire, Kuroshitsuji...there are more, but I'm sticking to those for now); Role-Playing Games (Anything by Working Designs, Dragon Warrior, Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits, etc.), Fighting Games (Guilty Gear, Soul Edge/Blade/Calibur, Street Fighter, King of Fighters, etc.), Rhythm Games (DDR, Pump it Up, Guitar Hero, etc.), and (usu. Arcade) First-Person Shooters where you actually get to hold a gun (Police Trainer, Silent Scope, etc.). Additionally, I also like Cosplay, because I love costumes, and have an interest in sewing and crafts (stemmed from my mother making costumes for my brother and I for yeeeears).

Music. Period. Seriously, I would list what KINDS I like, but I'll just say a little bit of everything. I can probably find SOMETHING in ANY genre that would appeal to me.

Reading. If it looks interesting, I'll read it. Articles, books, poetry, theses, ads, guides, whatever. Though, I have an almost sick weakness for a good girly-smut book (read: romance novel), this flows right into my NEXT interest...

Romance. Blah, as much as my father teased when I was little, and with how much I was told by damn near EVERY FEMALE IN MY FAMILY to NEVER get married, I actually do love the idea of romance. Guess I'll be living in sin, huh? I'd like to think that Happily Ever After can actually happen...despite the rather antagonistic relationship my parents have.

Between my art and my choices in music, people can probably get a good idea of who and what I truly am. That is..if you have any sense of empathy.

Avatar: The Last Airbender, House, Batman the Animated Series, Justice League (and Unlimited), Animaniacs, Freakazoid, Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader, The Singing Bee, Conan the Adventurer, Don't Forget the Lyrics, Shimmy, Iron Chef (NOT the American travesty...in fact, Bobby Flay is a cheap, overrated ass), Jeopardy

Despite this, I actually don't watch a lot of TV.

Just about anything animated. Hmm, beyond that..9.9 My Fair Lady or Gone with the Wind.

The dictionary. Emily Post's Guide to Etiquette. This old book of Opera that I have from the 1920's. The Road of Sin. The Prince. Anything by de Sade or Baudelaire. ElfQuest, various mangas and comic books.

"It is the duty of a gentleman to know how to ride, to shoot, to fence, to box, to swim, to row and to dance. He should be graceful. If attacked by ruffians, a man should be able to defend himself, and also to defend women from their insults"
Rules of Etiquette and Home Culture. 1886

"...remember also that really well bred women will not thank you for making them conspicuous by over officiousness in their defense, unless, indeed, there be any serious or glaring violation of decorum. In small matters, ladies are both able and willing to take care of themselves, and would prefer being allowed to overwhelm the unlucky offender in their own way"
Hints on Etiquette, 1836

"Men should be either treated generously or destroyed, because they take revenge for slight injuries - for heavy ones they cannot."
Niccolo Machiavelli

"Who loves not woman, wine, and song remains a fool his whole life long."
attributed to Martin Luther

"If human beings were shown what they’re really like, they’d either kill one another as vermin, or hang themselves."
Aldous Huxley

"To think ill of mankind and not wish ill to them, is perhaps the highest wisdom and virtue."
William Hazlitt

"Since I no longer expect
anything from mankind except
madness,
meanness, and mendacity;
egotism,
cowardice,
and
self-delusion,
I have stopped
being a
misanthrope."
Irving Layton

"Nothing is more narrow-minded than chauvinism or race hatred. To me all men are equal: there are jackasses everywhere, and I have the same contempt for all. No petty prejudices!"
Karl Kraus

"Misanthropes have some admirable if paradoxical virtues. It is no exaggeration to say that we are among the nicest people you are likely to meet. Because good manners build sturdy walls, our distaste for intimacy makes us exceedingly cordial “ships that pass in the night.” As long as you remain a stranger we will be your friend forever."
Florence King

"The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get it and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done! Now if you know what you're worth then go out and get what you're worth."
Rocky Balboa

Batman or JLU Question. To be honest, I've always been more of an Anti-Hero/Villain-type girl.
