I'm a Tim Burton Movie buff, a writer, a reader, and like playing some soccer and tennis in my spare time. I'm a complicated person to get to know, but I'd recommend trying if you can tolerate sarcasm, strong opinions, and fleeting arrogance on subjects.
The way I am on SH is the way I am offline, this isn't some act I put of to have fun -- I shit you not, I am as blunt and sarcastic offline as I am on. My friends have routinely told me that I'm an ass and that I'm annoyingly persistent. If you don't like me then oh well, I don't care and I'm not going to cry myself to sleep over someone not liking me.
Its the internet, people. You be nice to me, I'll be nice to you. If you aren't, I will belittle you mercilessly. I have standards that I keep to, I will bend the rules and break them without much care for consequences...
I don't like people who attack me for my opinion, are bigoted, are hate mongers, or those who attack any of my friends on this site. If you're any of those things, we aren't going to be getting along anytime soon, I guarantee.
I want to move to England at some point, most likely right out of high school, probably to live in Devon or Cornwall most likely...
Have wanted to since I was a young thing to be honest, and I'm sticking with it. I want to study at Exeter University, but I'd really take anywhere.

I have a fascination with Penguins and water-related animals, even though I'm probably one of the worst swimmers you will ever meet. I can't explain it, but I do.

But I don't plan on shoving my opinion down your throat if you don't shove how great it is down mine. I don't think it is. And I don't think it ever will be. I'll give you my opinion only if you can respect it, if you can't, then don't count of me treating you too well after you explode and tell me how wrong I am.

The hysteria over something that isn't even a saga, but a series, where the author wrote some wet dream fantasy about her self-insert Mary Sue is ludicrous. The propaganda is even worse.
The best part is that Chagrin loving SMeyer called it a saga herself. Shows how brilliant that one is, doesn't it?

I don't like Twilight, and many times when I comment and state my opinion on a poll involving it, I'll see girls downraving each other for thinking the other male lead is hot (neither of them are, really). They attack each other, and when asked why they like the series they only state that the characters are hot. There's nothing but that to back up their like for the series.
I honestly don't think I enjoy things for that reason. I like Harry Potter, but I don't really find any of the actors attractive in the current films (except my dear old girl crush, Emma, but she's not why I watch or read the books).
It's silly to like something for such a shallow reason. Quality is more important to me than the level of hotness in a franchise. (more) -
